Hi and congratulations! My name is Mary Tuller CD(DONA), and I am glad you are here. If you are wanting to experience a natural birth, or even think you want to try, you have come to the right place. Even if you are just thinking about it…….or want to talk about it……Please feel free to contact me. Many of my moms weren’t convinced they could endure it when we first met. BUT…..with encouragement, body awareness exercises, focused breathing and coaching on techniques, more than half of them experienced a natural birth, and today are in awe of themselves. I believe that knowledge and awareness is power over fear and doubt. Those who did choose an epidural, were able to wait much longer and still experienced labor as hoped and have very happy birth stories with no regrets!
It is my personal belief that birth is a right of passage to be experienced as a natural process when possible. With that said, I believe that every woman deserves a personal and private support person throughout her birth experience. Someone who will guide her as labor unfolds, breathe her every breath and offer unconditional acceptance while empowering her to find her deepest strengths.
With a doula spirit, I believe in preparing for birth by utilizing excellent resources, evidence based education and honest communication so that you are prepared, empowered and able to experience your babies birth with confidence.
Birth is not just about making babies, it’s about birthing mothers – strong, confident, capable mothers, who through their birth experience, learn to trust themselves and find their deepest inner strengths.
